Private trading
Private swaps and sends
Trade private tokens wallet to wallet with a link, or send them.
Two people can trade private twins directly, wallet to wallet, with no book and no pool. One makes an offer and shares it as a link; the other takes it. Both sides settle in one transaction, or nothing moves, and the chain shows neither the tokens nor the amounts.
Private trading is still being finished. It comes to the Preview testnet first, and opens on mainnet after its audit.
Make an offer
On the Private page, choose what you give and what you want, and press Make offer. Your wallet proves the half of the transaction that pays out your side and asks for theirs. The page shows how your price compares with the book's.
Share the link with the person you're trading with. Anyone who has the link can take the offer, so send it only to them. The offer travels in the part of the link after the #, which browsers never send to a server.
An offer fills whole, never in part, and stays open until it's taken or you cancel it. Your tokens stay in your wallet meanwhile.
Take an offer
Paste the link on the Private page. It shows what you'd give and get, and how that compares with the book. If you hold what it wants, press Take offer: your wallet completes the transaction, pays the network fee and sends it.
If part of an offer is a token Nightshade doesn't list, the page warns you. Only take it if you know what it is.
Cancel
Cancelling moves all of that twin to new coins in your own wallet, which makes every open offer of it impossible to take. It's one small transaction. The page keeps your offers in this browser and marks each one Taken or Cancelled.
Send privately
To send twins to someone, paste their private address (mn_shield-addr…) on the Private page. Your own is on the same page, to share with people who want to pay you. Nothing on chain links it to your public Midnight address.
