Trade
Stop orders
Sell when the price falls to a level, or buy when it rises to one.
A stop order waits for the market to reach a price: sell if the price falls to a level, or buy if it rises to one. Then it trades.
Place one
Open a market, switch the trade form to Stop, and choose the side, the trigger price and the amount. Your tokens go into the contract and stay there until the stop fills or you cancel it.
When it fires
Once a trade crosses your trigger, the stop is due. It joins the market's queue and fills in the next batch on its side, at up to 3% past your trigger. If the book is worse than that, it waits. Only trades of at least the market's minimum move its price, so a tiny trade can't set off your stop.
Open Nightshade tabs and Nightshade's keeper send those batches. You can also send one yourself with Fill now on the stop's row under Queued, and pay the transaction.
A stop isn't a guaranteed price: in a fast or thin market it can fill up to 3% past your trigger, or wait if the price has already moved further.
Cancel
Your wallet page lists your stops. Cancelling one returns its tokens in full.
If Nightshade's admin ever resets a market (see Contracts and security), stops placed before the reset can't fire, and their owners cancel them in full.
